Keeping Your Warranty Maintenance Up to Date
Maintaining your vehicle is very important in order to maintain the quality of your vehicle as well as maintain your warranties that came with the vehicle. There are companies that will not honor your warranties if you don’t prove you have been properly keeping up with routine items such as oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, etc. Scheduled factory maintenance can help you keep your vehicle and your warranty up to date.
Oil
Having your oil changed is ideal to help protect your engine and your vehicle as a whole. This should be done every six months or so depending on how frequently you drive your vehicle and how many miles each day. After a long road trip or extensive use of your vehicle it can sometimes be a good idea to get an oil change at that point as well.
Filters
Your vehicle has many different filters including an oil filter, cabin air filter and fuel filter. All of these items protect your vehicle (and you) from harmful particulates. You don’t want unnecessary items to enter the fuel or oil used in your car while it’s running and you want to protect the air inside your cabin so you can protect your health.
Brake Fluid
Brake fluid is necessary in order for your vehicle to brake properly and keep you safe. When your brake fluid levels drop or are in need or replacement this can compromise how well and how quickly your brakes can work when you need them.
Inspection
A yearly inspection is needed for every registered vehicle on the road not only for legal purposes but also for the safety of the driver. The person completing the inspection will go through a list of items that need to be checked on your vehicle and this will help determine if your vehicle needs to be fixed in any way in order to perform at it’s optimum level.
